Freemasons at the Olympic Games in London

London, United Kingdom. In less than five hours will start the official opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games, the event of this year being hosted in London, UK. Starting with today and for about two weeks, Freemasons from around the world will arrive in London to attend the biggest planetary event which honors excellence in sports.


From heads of state and government, ministers, senior officials, to the ordinary participants and athletes, all will take part this evening at the event, the ceremony being presided by Queen Elizabeth II in person, who will open the 2012 Olympic Games.

At the Olympic Games this year will also participate Freemasons from all over the world, most of them from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, but also from countries like France, Romania, Italy, Spain, Argentina etc.

The total of Freemasons to be present in London in the next period varies between 6,000 and 8,000, not taking into account the presence of members of the United Grand Lodge of England, Grand Lodge of Scotland and those of the Grand Lodge of Ireland.


Mexican Freemasons participate in presidential elections today

Mexico City, Mexico. The Elections held today in Mexico have not left indifferent Mexican Freemasons. They will participate in national elections as observers, candidates and ordinary voters. With over 300,000 members, the Mexican Masonic Order is one of the largest National Masonic Orders in the world. The Sovereign Grand Commander of Mexico, Manuel Jiménez Guzmán is the leader of the PRI (Institutional Revolutionary Party) in the Federal District. He announced that he will support Enrique Peña Nieto today.


"We will be observers to ensure that the process will be a clean, transparent, without traps, but I believe that there will be not many voters," said the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Tamaulipas, Olivio Ochoa Gutiérrez.


Grand Lodge of Honduras celebrated the Summer Solstice

San Pedro Sula, Honduras. The ceremony took place in the Arab Club of Honduras, aimed to strengthen relations between Masters Masons in Honduras, members of the Grand Lodge of Honduras. Among the special guests were: Peter Frohmader, Daniel Smith Galeano etc.
